Classroom Snowflakes

New Hallway Displays!

We just celebrated the 100th day of school on Friday! Each student colored about 6-7 hearts with messages on them so we would have 100 in our jar.

We learned about germs recently. I traced the shadow of 2 students and then cut out construction paper the shape and color of magnified germs. On each cut out the students wrote something they learned about germs.

Another recent topic was the penny and Abraham Lincoln. I traced and cut out the silhouettes then glued paper on to the bottoms for the writings.  Each student wrote something they had learned about the penny.

My Classroom just before Open House 2011-2012. Since then the yucky carpeting on the left side has been torn up and replaced with new tiles. spills are so much easier to clean up.
It's not so clear from the picture but I have a hollywood-type theme.

The Theater Themed Classroom Helpers Board
I have not start using this yet, due to having a large class the was just recently reduced by 6 kids. I hope to begin using it soon. Lead: line leader; Stand-In: fill ins for any absent helper; Closing  Crew: end of the line; Director: points to the numbers/alphabet; Lighting: turns then off or on as needed; the rest I think you already know.
